My daddy played Mr. Mom this weekend. Mommy went to San Antonio for her friend’s wedding, so it was just me and daddy. We got some good male bonding time in.
After we dropped mommy off at the airport, I was a little concerned. As daddy and I waved goodbye to her, I also waved goodbye to my food supply. I really hope daddy wasn’t going to pull off some sort of Meet the Parents man boob stunt. It turned out, mommy was very prepared and had milk in the fridge for me.
I had a great time with daddy. We watched the Aggie game. I thought we were going to win. It was so close.
Daddy also took this time to teach me about the differences between boys and girls. He read me a book about it. After the last blog entry about me being a chick magnet, I guess he thought it was about time to teach me about how to treat girls.
I kept telling daddy that I don’t really care about girls, they have cooties. But he just kept reading to me, telling me how important it was to treat girls right and do this and do that. I got bored pretty quickly and just had to look away. All this talk about girls kind of grossed me out.
Later on that night, daddy spent some time teaching me about finances. He wanted me to learn to be a good steward of my money. He taught me about saving, giving, tithing, and investing. He gave me my first piggy bank. The little piggy had 4 different slots where I could put money into each category daddy taught me about.
We had some fun playing basketball together. He taught me how to shoot the ball. I got to try on my brand new Nikes. I think they really helped me jump higher. Do you think I need to work out a little? Am I getting a little bigger?
Just before bed time, we both started to miss mommy. So, we sat at the computer and looked at a picture of her. I love my mommy. I can’t wait to see her tomorrow.
