It’s time you all should know the truth about what’s going on in our family. There’s another woman in my husband’s life. He can’t wait until I go to bed or run to the store so he can steal some moments with her.
That elusive apple…the symbol of the first temptation and the fall of mankind…still causing trouble today.
She’s sleek, white, shiny, and very trendy. She has the potential to keep Loren’s attention for hours on end. She’s his new toy and project. Yes, I’ve met her. She sits in our kitchen and taunts me when he’s not home.
She was his “reward” from himself for passing his most recent exam in a series as he works toward his CLU, ChFC designations.
They have so much in common - a shared love of blogging, making videos, and doing really exciting things with pictures. She really can take his talent and interests to a whole new level.
When I confronted him about her, he diffused my frustration and anger with a little song from one of our favorite movies from a few years back.
“Yes, I love technology, but not as much as you, you see… but I still love technology. Always and forever.”

I’m a little intimidated by her because I don’t know how she works. I should accept her and get to know her since she really is very cool, but for now I’m just a little jealous.
So guys - just be expecting a few changes to be coming soon to our family website and blog. Our address will change, the look and style will be different, and I’m sure it will be really creative. I will eventually have to overcome my jealousy and figure out how she works, so that I, too, can join in on the fun.
One day, I’ll embrace change (which I ALWAYS hate) and jump on the Mac bandwagon.
