This entry is a little late, but better late than never right? This should have been posted back on June 19th. Some of my favorite Chinese traditions are:
- math flash card drills
- ping pong tournaments
- practicing martial arts with Mr. Miyagi
However, on this day, we celebrated none of those above. June 19th was the celebration of The Dragon Boat Festival. OK, I admit, I’m not the best in truly understanding all the traditions and festivals of all things Chinese.
So, instead of you emailing me or asking me about it, I’ll point you to a resource that never fails - Wikipedia. Anything on that site must be true. So, click here to learn about The Dragon Boat Festival.
Steph, Aidan and I met up with my extended family and grandma (who was in town visiting) to celebrate.

Aidan was practicing another Chinese tradition of Ninja skills. Ninjas are known for their amazing abilities to loose themselves from any grasp of the enemy. Although his cousin Marvin is not an enemy, he was still practicing his getaway skills.
